MASTER SA BUM NIM DAN KING

Sa Bum Nim Dan King was born in Bangkok, Thailand where his first martial arts experiences were in Muay Thai, the national sport of Thailand. Upon moving to the United States with his family in 1977, Master King studied several different martial arts styles including Shotokan and Kempo Karate. Master King later concentrated on Tae Kwon Do, the ancient Korean martial art. Master King studied under Master Jun Lee in Raleigh, NC, receiving his Black Belt in 1985. Attending North Carolina State University simultaneously, Master King earned his bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering. While at NC State, Master King was president of the NCSU Tae Kwon Do Club and captain of the Tae Kwon Do team.

Master King's competitive accomplishments include 1989 East Coast Regional Gold Medallist, 1988 and 1992 NC State Games Gold Medallist and 1994 National Championship Bronze Medallist. Now concentrating on teaching, Master King has produced several state and national champions in only the first 3 years of his schools' existence.
