Grand Master DeMaria known as Ma Fo Ren in the Chinese cycles has been training in the martial arts for more then 40 years.

His teachers which were mostly Chinese are renowned in the Chinese martial arts. His last teacher Chang Tung Sheng was so impressed with is his skills that he actually adopted him as his God Son which is unprecedented in Chinese tradition. Grand Master DeMaria is a practitioner of the Shao-lin Kung Fu and the three internal arts known as Tai Ji Chuan, Ba Kwa Zhang and Hsing-I Chuan. His most resent appointments is Advisor and sits on the Board of directors to the International Chinese Boxing Association. Other affiliations is the Kuoshu Federation of the Republic of China which he was New York Ambassador of Kuoshu. He presently is the head of of the American Center for Chinese Studies which has schools around the United States.

He was head instructor in the Westchester Police Academy in Westchester New York for over 13 years. He has also taught accredited courses in Martial arts at the Sunny University in Purchase New York for number of years. He has made a number of motion pictures and has authored numerous articles for the various martial arts magazines such as Black Belt Magazine, Inside Kung Fu etc. Grand Master has influenced many lives with his teaching of both the martial arts and Chinese philosophy. His children's classes teaching children self control and self pride in there accomplishments in learning the Kung Fu arts. Many children who would normally find themselves in the streets find a new way of life and a new way of living and attaining their goals in life.
